I had 2 drawing sessions inside a dove loft, which is essentially a shed with a grid of very thin shelves on which the doves sit. Although the doves were constantly moving and fussing, it was easy to capture a part of one of them and then return to the drawing to finish it at a later stage. Here are some of the 50 Drawings I did, this was drawing for information, to try and understand the complexity of how feathers grow on a bird and understand their order and structure. I bought a range of papers from Paperchase on Tottenham Court Road and drawing materials such as pens and inks from L.Cornelisson.
